In this post we will be looking at the design of the website http://slateroofingsydney.com.au and discuss how this particular design is helping the client to secure more business in the slate roofing niche.
It is important to note that the roofing industry and particularity the slate roofing industry is a very lucrative and hence competitive market place. It was important to use as many images and confidence building assurances as possible into the campaign to assure the best possible outcome for the client. It has always been hard for a small business to compete in the realm of medium to large business and this example is no different.
This client is trying to claim a small market share for himself in what is a marketplace dominated by bigger players. This means that the others have a larger budget for market8ing and we need to focus on the holes that they have left to get the best results.
The first thing you see when entering the site is the header section that comprises of the logo, guarantee, HIA membership and click to call phone number. All of these are responsive for mobile friendliness. Below that is the main feature of 8 different banners of the slate roof works carried out by the client. On this banner are the main services offered which include:
- Shingle roofing
- New slate roofs
- Slate roof repairs
- Slate roof restoration
- Slate roof replacements
Again below this is followed by the fact that all work is guaranteed. As you scroll through the site you will find a simple contact form on the right hand side with a map of the service area and the business contact details below that.
In the middle is the main text that describes the businesses services, this is followed by 3 genuine reviews that the client has provided for us. Note the review text is in a larger format as to stand out. We have two separate banners that breakup the look of the page with a direct contact us link that redirects to the contact page.
Below this is a cascade image layout of the main slate services offered. These all have an optimized picture as well as a brief description on the service. These are clickable and link back each page that has a thorough description of each service.
We find that this style of layout is the most effective at generating both calls and contact form inquiries.
